Which analyses are pre-installed for each of the image types?

Click on the tracing icon left from the tracing type name to open a list of the pre-installed analyses available for the assigned image type. In addition, we could provide customized analyses on request. Please, contact Image Instruments for more information.

Can I create my own analysis?

In addition to the analyses pre-installed for each of the supported tracing types, any number of customized analyses can be installed by patch files. The customization has to be performed by the manufacturer. The configuration of user analyses by creating new landmarks and result variables is not supported to keep the ability of finding synchronization and finding exchange between all users.

The landmark list seems to be too long ...

In the landmark list, exclusively those landmarks will show up which are required to calculate or plot the pre-selected analyses, options, or contour templates. These pre-selections can be changed. To modify the pre-selection for analyses and options (Segmented Superimposition, Simulation, Ricketts V.T.O.), open the analyses selection list by button top right of the landmark list. To modify the analyses pre-selection for the used tracing type, open the options dialog by button Options .

How can I open the image import window directly?

By shortcut CTRL+2 the Add Image Window can be opened directly to import 2D images regardless which tab is currently displayed in the main window . (Correspondingly, it works with CTRL+3 for the import of 3D files.)

What is the fastest way to import patient images?

Open the Add Image Window by shortcut CTRL+2 and click the refresh button  top right  to display the content of the image source (camera) used before2. Take over all images at once (unclassified) by shortcut CTRL+ALT+A and leave the Add Image Window with Save. To assign also the correct image type for each imported image at this point (recommended), use a predefined image type batch3

How can I archive external patient documents?

To archive external documents (any file linked to a local application by its extension) for a patient, you first need to define a common document folder4 on tab |Interfaces| in menu System Options and also a list of any number of document types by short name (abbreviation) and long name (description) .

Once this is done, you can load external documents to this document folder by button [Archive Document] on tab |Patient|. The document file is copied in a subfolder and renamed acc. to the pre-defined abbreviation for the assigned document type. Thereafter, you will find a link for the archived document in the document tree (quick find) on tab |Patient| which can be doubleclicked to open the document by the 3rd party application assigned by the file extension.

In the same way it is possible to archive complete CDs which contain data together with a data viewer. However, to use this option it is required that the data viewer (e.g., a DICOM viewer) is automatically launched by the CD-Autorun option.

How do  I compare image findings of 2 different patients?

Select the relevant and a second non-relevant image finding of the primary patient and open the two images in fullscreen mode side by side (menu fullscreen parallel). Rightclick on the non-relevant image and select "Replace Image|Change Patient" to navigate to the other patient image to be compared.

1 Each 2D image type has assigned exactly one 2D tracing type  ; 3D image types can be analyzed 3dimensionally, or, basing on one or more 2D tracing types assigned to the image type in tab image types panel in system options

2 The refresh of the image source content (e.g., the SD card of your camera) can be useful if you always use the same camera and card and if you have chosen to delete imported images from the source after image is taken over to Onyx by contextmenu option "Delete Adopted Images".

3 The batch import will assign the correct image type and image properties (max. size, flip, mirror, etc.) for each imported image in the pre-defined image type sequence but requires to take images in always the same sequence.

4 It is recommended to use the same shared network folder for all clients to make sure that the identical documents are available for the patient on all network clients.
